Painting watercolor with Chi 气 by Z.L. Feng

Join us for a two-day, in-person workshop with acclaimed watercolorist Z.L. Feng. It will combine landscape painting techniques with an introduction to the concept of Chi (气)—the flow of energy often referenced in Chinese painting traditions. Participants will explore how to bring life and vitality into their brushwork while also developing strong technical skills. This workshop is open to students of all levels and skills.

The first day of the workshop includes a presentation of Z.L. Feng's paintings, a landscape demonstration and painting by participants. About Z.L. Feng

Z.L. Feng is an acclaimed watercolorist known for his tranquil landscapes and expressive portraits of Tibetans, Native Americans, and Southern farmers. Feng has received over 600 awards, including numerous Best in Show and Gold Medals in major U.S. watercolor competitions. He is a Dolphin Fellow of the American Watercolor Society and a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and the Pastel Society of America.
