Join us for an online demonstration with Dorrie Rifkin. She'll take us through her process for creating a painting. Starting from a photograph, she turns to her sketchbook to figure out color, design and whether it's even worth painting. From there she makes a tight and detailed drawing that gives her the freedom to not worry about missing the image she's after.

About Dorrie Rifkin

Dorrie Rifkin is the Juror of Selection for our 125th International Exhibition of Works on Paper. Her paintings have been accepted in over 100 international and national juried shows and are exhibited in private collections worldwide. She was featured in the article “Ones to Watch,” in Watercolor Artist (December 2010), one of her paintings was chosen for the cover of Watercolor magazine, and her work was selected for Splash 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, and 20. She is a signature member of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, the Northeast, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and Garden State Watercolor Societies and is a Master Signature member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society.
