PWCS is hosting a Plein Air Event at Historic Sugartown in conjunction with their Biergarten on May 30 2019

In the 1800s, the village once known as Shugart, served as a vital stop for weary travelers hauling wagonloads of goods to the markets of Philadelphia and other parts of the county. Today, Sugartown offers a window into American life in an early 19th-century rural crossroads village with its many buildings and activities.

Artists who sign up for the event can paint from 9 AM until evening on both Tuesday May 28th and Wednesday May 29th.  Artists can also paint from 9 AM until 3 PM on Thursday May 30th.  Additionally the first 6 artists who sign up can also paint during  the Biergarten Event which runs from 5 PM to 8 PM on May 30th.  Artists painting during the Biergarten will need to setup their easels by 4 PM on May 30th.

There will be food trucks in addition to liquid refreshments and live music during the Biergarten.  These events initiated in 2018 and were very heavily attended.

We will conduct a sale during the Biergarten.  Paintings submitted during the event will be hung in the Garret House and will be available for sale both during the event and for the following three weeks.  Artists painting during the Biergarten can also sell their paintings off their easel.

Use the link below to sign up for Plein Air And Biergarten on the website.  The cost is $10.

There is free parking at 260 Spring Road (use your GPS), Malvern, PA with signs leading to the parking.   Rest rooms are available both in the Garrett House back lobby and General Store complex from 10:00 – 4:00 pm daily and in the Garrett House during the Biergarten.
