Demo description- Observational Quick studies on sketchbook.

Date- September 12 th

Time- 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM

“I like to sketch at every opportunity. It’s a great way to capture ideas, simplify and synthesize the elements, work out a composition and color scheme. I’ve made my sketchbook as portable as possible, so that I rarely hesitate to take it along with me. Photos are fine for reference, but not a substitute for studied observation or, more importantly, sketching. Smartphones make it easy to take way too many pictures and come away with very little actual observational experience.”

Thomas BUCCI is an award-winning watercolorist with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design and a Masters of Architecture. After 8 years working as an architect, he began working full-time as a printmaker and painter. He is currently focused on watercolor plein air and studio painting.

He is a Signature Member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, and an Artist Member of the Salmagundi Club of NY. He is also a member of Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Aasociation. For the last two years he has exhibited with a group representing the USA at Fabriano In Acquarello, an annual international watercolor exhibition in Italy.

Cancellation Policy: Please note that after 45 days before the start of the workshop (i.e., September 7), paid participants will be responsible for the full tuition amount, unless they personally find an artist to replace their spot in the workshop. If the workshop is full and there is an available person on the waitlist, that person may take the place of the cancelling artist.
