The Missouri Watercolor Society is holding its 2019 International Exhibition in St. Louis at the St. Louis Artists Guild from June 15th through July 27th. The Guild is the second oldest artist society in the US and was started in 1886 - just 15 years after the founding of the Salmagundi Club in NYC. This year's awards are expected to total over $13,000 with, once again, $3000 to the Best of Show, $2000 for second place and $1000 for third place. Entries can have been painted at ANY time. The Illinois Watercolor Society's Small Waters: A national juried exhibition of small scale watercolors. Selection and Awards Juror: Ingrid Albrecht, AWS, NWS, WHS. Call for Entry: NorthStar Watermedia Society presents its 5th Annual Watermedia Juried Exhibition, October 3 - November 14, 2019. Open to all watermedia on various types of surfaces. $5000 in cash and other prizes are guaranteed (all previous years, awards topped $8500). The New Orleans Art Association (noartassoc.org) is having a National Show in October 2019. $5,000 in cash as well as ribbons will be given.  The judge/juror is Alan Flattmann, PSA (alanflattmann.com). The show is open to all media except reproductions, prints, photography, videos, crafts, jewelry, three-dimensional (3D) works, textiles, fiber art, collages, montages, and any computer-generated elements.  A prospectus and entry is available at www.showsubmit.com
