PHILADELPHIA WATER COLOR SOCIETY
The Missouri Watercolor Society is holding its 2019 International Exhibition in St. Louis at the St. Louis Artists Guild from June 15th through July 27th. The Guild is the second oldest artist society in the US and was started in 1886 - just 15 years after the founding of the Salmagundi Club in NYC. This year's awards are expected to total over $13,000 with, once again, $3000 to the Best of Show, $2000 for second place and $1000 for third place. Entries can have been painted at ANY time. The Prospectus is on the website www.mowsart.com.The Springfield Art Museum is pleased to announce a call for entries for Watercolor USA 2019, highlighting the very best in contemporary American watermedia. This year’s exhibit will run from June 8 through September 1, 2019. The deadline to apply is February 27, 2019.
